T-Mobile have always been one of the big networks in the UK, part of the elite club known as the ‘big five’. Because of that, they have access to a whole range of exclusive mobile phones to offer you something you can’t get anywhere else!

The history of T Mobile

In 1993, a new frequency band was opened up for new mobile phones to broadcast on. This meant a new network but that network wasn’t T-Mobile, it was actually One2One, the network that would later become T-Mobile. The key difference is that One2One were essentially useless whereas T-Mobile are brilliant.

That, by the way, is what T-Mobile have said many times themselves, even acknowledging that One2One wasn’t great. The thing is though, are T-Mobile SO much better! When the change first happened, just after Deutsche Telekom bought up the company, there were some sceptics, but T-Mobile convinced them almost immediately. They turned into one of the most forward-looking, innovative and cool networks ever seen!

Under T-Mobile’s magenta (not pink!) bonnet, you’ll find a network with super-fast data access letting you get online at super-fast speeds on your mobile phones. You’ll find tariffs that give you Blackberry access for tons and tons of emails wherever you are.
