As well as that, it's a totally open-source operating system, so that anybody can write applications for it, putting on ANY software feature they want! So that those apps can get all over the world, the T Mobile G1 has 'Android Marketplace', a web store, where you'll be able to download applications that can add basically any new feature someone has dreamt up onto your T Mobile G1!

The downloading fun doesn't finish there, however, because you also get access to the Amazon MP3 Store, with the T Mobile G1, allowing you to peruse and purchase from the 6 million DRM-free tunes available, wherever you are!

Online Life

Mind you, as you'll get all that web action on the T Mobile G1, you will need fast data access, right? Well, that's precisely what you'll find, as the T Mobile G1 connects through HSDPA, letting you hit speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. That makes buying applications and music dead quick, but you'll also see the benefits when you use the web (with a browser very similar to Google Chrome for desktops), or when using Google Apps. Add that to push email via Gmail, and you just can't lose. And that's before you even boot up Google Maps, complete with Street View, on the T Mobile G1. With the built-in GPS and digital compass, you can change your view of the street (and bringing up sort of digital signposts, in future), just by moving the phone. That's truly useful, and just fabulous to use!

Of course, despite the big new part being the Google Android system, the hardware doesn't skimp on the T Mobile G1, either. So, you've also got a 3 megapixel camera, and the sliding display opens to give you access to a full QWERTY keyboard, so that writing emails in Gmail is the simplest thing in the world! There's no doubt about it: it's new, it's innovative, and it does what it does in its own way. It can only be the unique T Mobile G1!
