About Samsung
Just like you, we prefer life to be easy. You need to make an informed choice about what the right deal for you is, and choose a deal without ANY hassle? Well, we’re here to help you do that, as well as giving you all you need to know about Samsung.
Hailing from Korea, Samsung rank as one of the big five mobile phone manufacturers in the world, right up there with the likes of Nokia. There’s a very simple reason for that.
Samsung make exceptionally beautiful mobile phones!
If you want proof of that, look no further than the Samsung U900 Soul, the most advanced phone in their Ultra Edition range. Packed with scintillating features like a whopping great 5 megapixels on the camera, and a mini-touchscreen navigation system, just under the main screen, it really is high-tech. What’s really astounding though is the size; Samsung have packed all that into one of the thinnest mobile phones around, making it the ultimate combination of style and power!
Of course, if you wanted to go more down the ‘power’ route, there’s always the Samsung G800. This beauty sports a 5 megapixel camera similar to the U900. However, in this case, ‘similar to’ means ‘even more ludicrously powerful than’, as Samsung have taken the basic 5 megapixels, and pumped in tons more cool stuff, like facial recognition (for amazing portrait photos) and, the big, big feature, 3x optical zoom, an absolute rarity on mobile phones!
Maybe you’re not too bothered about the really high-end stuff, though, and want a phone that’s more… sumptuous, something with a designer label, maybe? Then the Samsung Armani is the phone for you! The exclusivity of this catwalk beauty oozes through every pore, and with a full touch interface, it’s as smooth to use as it looks. If there’s one mobile phone that’s guaranteed to make you looks cool, it’s this one!
The history of Samsung
Samsung is, quite simply, the best-known Korean company in the world. The name Samsung actually means “three stars”, reflecting the fact that the group is actually made up of three distinct businesses: Samsung Electronics, Samsung Heavy Industries and Samsung Engineering & Construction. Samsung Electronics, the part we’re interested in here, overtook Sony in 2005 as the world’s number 1 consumer electronics brand. Considering that Sony is one of the most recognisable brand names in history, that’s some achievement!
That’s probably why the Samsung Group as a whole accounts for 20% of ALL of Korea’s exports! In fact, Samsung fill the country with such national pride, and imbue their workers with such a sense of loyalty, that they frequently, willingly work for them without breaks or holidays until the day they retire! Not only that, but many of the other big names in Korean electronics are companies founded by ex-Samsung employees.
One thing can definitely be said about Samsung phones: whatever they do, they do it with style! It’s rather clear that as well as making high-tech, feature-packed phones, their phones look good. Really good. That’s best shown in Samsung’s Ultra Edition phones, combining awesome performance with model good looks.
Of course, to reflect that mix of talent and looks, they needed a spokesperson to match, and up until November 2007, that was the beautiful and talented Lee Hyori, the acclaimed singer and actress who was the ‘face’ of Samsung Mobile, in Korea, for 4 years. Basically a match made in heaven, then!

Review of the G600 by Deborah from Knutsford
Quite frankly the most confusing phone Ive ever used, performing the simplest function requires accessing more than one menu in most cases and the predictive text is the most unpredictive Ive encountered, nothing on this is user friendly at all and combined with the basic and somewhat uselss handbook they give this will leave frustrated to say the least. Normally it only takes a few days to familarise myself with a new handset, alas after three months with this one Im just about to give up - Definitely not recommended.
