Mobile phones could soon be used to buy Pay and Display parking tickets under a new initiative launched by the government.
It is hoped that the new scheme will reduce the number of parking fines that are imposed on consumers as well as making life easier for the transport industry, South Yorkshire newspaper the Star reports.
