A Macintosh gaming classic has been polished up and relaunched for Apple's latest line of mobile phones.
The company, formerly known as Apple Macintosh, first saw Crystal Quest appear on its platforms back in 1987 - and the game has now been brought back for its iPhone handset.
Apple iPhone 3G customers can now take part in the "intense, adrenalin-boiling arcade action" by collecting crystals, shooting down enemies and piloting their ship through a selection of treacherous levels.
Niccolo de Masi, president of Hands-On Mobile - one of the companies behind the launch - said gamers will love the "addictive gameplay" of the title and fans who remember it from the first time around would also be likely to download it.
"It is a tremendous pleasure for us to re-release this beloved title that so many gaming fans have memories of playing for countless enjoyable hours," he added.
An updated version of Crystal Quest has been available to Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade gamers since February 2006.
