X Factor judge Simon Cowell has admitted to being on the wrong end of a text message dumping.
Speaking to US TV show Extra, the music mogul sat alongside his ex-partner Terri Seymour and said that although the pair had split on good terms - it was she who had ended the relationship.
The Daily Mail reports that Cowell laughed-off suggestions that he had given the TV star the elbow alongside a multi-million pound parting gift consisting of £2.3million in cash and a £2.3million mansion in Beverly Hills.
Cowell admitted the partnership had ended "because Terri decided to dump me" and turning to his estranged lover, added: "You sent me a text."
Other high-profile break-ups that have involved the use of mobile phones this year include US TV couple Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford.
The Gossip Girl actors have since said that the split was amicable with Underwood telling Extra: "We broke up over text, so it's like peace out."
