Following the launch of the T Mobile G1 earlier this year, some websites are predicting that 2009 could be big for the Android operating system (OS).
The Google-designed OS is so far only available on the G1, yet the web is filled with speculation that other manufacturers are champing at the bit to get the next model out.

Following the launch of the T Mobile G1 in New York last week, Tech Radars Dan Grabham states that not only will Android be a more open OS, allowing for a wider selection of apps, but will be better integrated with Googles existing web features.

An arcade classic will become one of the first gaming applications to be available on the upcoming HTC G1.
Owners of the handset, which is built in conjunction with T Mobile and is the first to feature Googles Android platform, will be offered a free version of PAC-MAN - a game which has been around for over 28 years.
