About Mobiles.co.uk
If you want to find the right deal and get impartial advice, then we can help you do just that! We compare mobile phone deals with all the major retailers, letting you choose what you know is right for you, not what we say is right for you! We’ve also got bags of information, including everything you need to know about Mobiles.co.uk.
How about deals through Mobiles.co.uk? What phones can you get? Well, since they’re owned by Carphone Warehouse, that means you not only get fabulous deals, but you also get access to exclusive mobile phones, exactly the same as you would with them! Take, for example, the stunning Sony Ericsson K770i Ivory, an exclusively-coloured mobile phone only available through Carphone Warehouse, and therefore, through its daughter companies, including Mobiles.co.uk. It’s like having ivory without having to poach an elephant (and then rightly go to jail) to get it!
Because they’re part of Carphone Warehouse, you’ll find that it’s not just the normal, well-known manufacturers whose mobile phones sit nicely in the range at Mobiles.co.uk. You’ll find exclusives from people who you wouldn’t normally associate with mobile phones. Like, for example, the twin siblings of the Levi Black and Levi Silver, both exclusively branded by (bet you didn’t spot this coming) Levi Strauss, and both available from Mobiles.co.uk. They make a nice counterpoint to the sleekness of the Samsung Armani, by being a bit more rough-and-tumble, with steel bodies, and unique finishes. Kind of like jeans in mobile phone form.
Of course, “mobile phones with clothes labels superglued on” is nothing new. Bet you’ve never seen one that has a luggage sticker on it, though! Well, Mobiles.co.uk also has available the Mandarina Duck, in Cherry Red and Green. That name may not mean much until you realise it belongs to one of the most prestigious makers of bags and luggage in the entire world. Mandarina Duck bags are really something else, bordering on works of art (for bags, anyway), and the Mandarina Duck mobile phone is very much in the tradition of its bag-shaped siblings, only phone-shaped and it’s available through Mobiles.co.uk!
The history of Mobiles.co.uk
Founded in 1995, Mobiles.co.uk was the UK’s first EVER mobile phone shop, beating the likes of Dial-a-Phone. Nowadays, they’ve obviously done well for themselves, as they’re not the largest web-only mobile phone retailer in the UK, processing thousands of orders every month. Part of that, let’s be honest, has to be down to the fact that Mobiles.co.uk is now part of the Carphone Warehouse Group.
Of course, the main point is that although they are part of that group, Mobiles.co.uk still acts as an independent entity, so they can give you the fabulous combination of unbeatable deals and awesome customer service. After all, as they themselves say, being an online shop allows Mobiles.co.uk to offer:
• Value – great offers
• Speed – online network decisions leading to faster delivery
• Choice – the widest choice of handsets, free gifts, networks and tariffs in the market
There are a few key bits of evidence to show that strategy’s working, not the least the fact that in the last 2 years, Mobile.co.uk has won 3 awards for best online retailer; twice from the Mobile News Awards (2007 and 2008) and once through the Mobile magazine awards, in 2007. That’s some achievement, in anybody’s book, and it’s another bit of evidence that if you’re going to buy from Mobiles.co.uk, you’re onto a pretty good thing with an award winner!
Of course, it’s not just about selling mobile phones, as Mobiles.co.uk do a lot of work for charity, having been involved in the Bring Bring phone recycling scheme, run by Oxfam, since January 2006. It’s a great scheme, and it helps raise money for people who need it, so that’s a good thing! Mind you, it is not limited to them, as Mobiles.co.uk also supports Macmillan Cancer Support and the ALMA Hospital Trust.
So, how can you resist? You can get a new mobile phone for yourself, and help somebody else while you’re at it, with Mobiles.co.uk!
