About Apple

We’re a completely independent comparison site, comparing mobile phone deals from all the major retailers… and that means we can help you find the perfect deal, without telling you what’s best for you! You’ll never need to look anywhere else! Everything you need is right here, including everything you need to know about Apple.

Well, unlike other manufacturers, who have huge great big portfolios, with Apple it’s much easier to list their range of mobile phones as they only have the one. But it’s a doozy, since it’s the utterly unique Apple iPhone. There’s not a great deal to say about this mobile phone that hasn’t already been said. The list of features on it is unique, and you won’t find anything like it anywhere else, is what we’re saying!

Take for example, the ‘visual voicemail’, that the Apple iPhone offers, something only available on that phone, on O2, its exclusive network partner. And then, of course, there’s music. And with it being an Apple product that means one word: iTunes, built into your phone, albeit with new features, courtesy of the 3.5 inch touchscreen. Features like CoverFlow mode, where you tip the Apple iPhone on its side, and then scroll through images of the actual album covers!

All in all, it really is innovative, and there’s no other mobile phone that offers an experience quite like it!

The history of Apple

First established in 1976, Apple started life, essentially, making home-brewed computer construction kits (for people to build their own PC’s) in Steve Job’s parents’ house. And that was what their early life consisted of: computers. In fact, it’s still what a sizeable part of their business is built around.

And it’s, essentially, thanks to the Mac, the computer that seemed so much cooler than Windows. Of course, nowadays, Apple are more likely to be known for their more recent brands, specifically the iPod, a word that’s become a general catch-all phrase that a huge number of people use to mean mp3 player (in the same way that a vacuum cleaner is a ‘hoover’, and a ball-point pen is a ‘biro’, even when they’re not).

Oh, and let’s not forget a certain mobile phone that let Apple get in on the act in the mobile world – The Apple iPhone [LINK].

However, no matter what Apple product we’re talking about, one curious fact is true across their whole range, and that is that Apple fans really are true fans. It’s unusual to see, for a technology company, but Apple fans are almost religiously devoted to their favourite brand, to an extent not seen anywhere else in the electronics industry. Who knows, maybe Apple know how to push their buttons.

Whatever the case, Apple’s definitely made some device whose names have become synonymous with their products, so that just about everyone, when they hear the name, knows what the product is. Mac, iPod, iPhone… those names conjure up images of very specific devices, and in that, Apple are one of the huge success stories of the 20th and 21st Centuries!
